The CALYPSO Sanctuary is a sanctuary/refuge for senior pets (10 years old or older) that will be rescued/adopted from shelters so that they may live out their days/months/years in a loving home environment.  The CALYPSO Sanctuary idea was born in November of 2015 when our oldest daughter – Carrie Lynn, lost her courageous two year battle with cancer.  She had just turned 31, and left behind her husband Brian, two children - Katie and Bryson, and five rescue pets – two dogs and three cats. In the last conversation with her father, she told him that one of her big regrets was that she would not be able to establish and run a senior pet sanctuary for rescue/shelter senior dogs and cats.  Knowing her passion for rescuing animals, he assured her that they would set up the senior pet sanctuary in her honor and memory. 

The CALYPSO (CArrie LYnn Pets Senior/Older) Sanctuary is now a reality.  It has a 501(c)3 non-profit charity status…donations appreciated.  100% of all donations will go towards the care of the CALYPSO Sanctuary pets.  Our Facebook page posts updates on our senior rescues frequently ...
